Just a quick reminder that the Inter Club race on Wednesday 2nd April will start and finish at Blackpool Cricket Club. There is parking at the CC but if you park at the Sports Centre you will need to allow an extra couple of minutes to get to the start. The race starts at 7.15 p.m. and will be followed by the presentation for the 2007 series (in the Cricket Club).

Cerebral Palsy Sport are looking for people to support the charity by running in either of two forthcoming 10k runs in Manchester: The Great Manchester Run to be held on Sunday 18th May and the B of the Bang at Sport City run on Sunday 25th May 2008. Michael Churm and Graeme Ballard are both members of your athletics club and also of Cerebral Palsy Sport. We would therefore be grateful if you could circulate this email to your members and encourage them to participate on our behalf and raise vital funds for our charity. 15/3/2008 : John Payn and his partner(at a combined age of 148 years !!) undertook the 17 mile Lunesdale walk finishing in 4hrs 55mins in what seemed more like an assault course with the numerous styles and copious mud.

Haigh Hall Relays are this Saturday. We have at least one team (Paul W, Mike M, Mike C, Simon), but more are welcome. Race starts at 14:00, but please be at Haigh to register at 13:00ish. Registration is £14.00 per team of four. Pls remember some change for the pay and display car park.

Race Report - Alexandra Park 5k, 3rd Feb 2008

In this popular race run through the flat terrain of Alexandra Park, Terry Dickenson, Promotions Officer for Chorley AC, was one of the top vet 60's in a time of 27 mins 45 secs. This well organised race attracted over 100 runners, and consists of three laps around the park.

After the Northern Cross Country championships at Leeds last week we now return to the domestic Mid Lancs League competition at Hyndburn on Saturday 9th February, and Chorley AC will be trying to improve their position of 2nd in Division 4 where only 2pts behind Rossendale, 7th overall Vet 50 team with Lytham, Preston & Lancaster just ahead and 2nd vet 60 team with Blackpool on the same points and Clayton just in front.

The 16th February is the Parbold Hill race and the 23rd February the Standish Hall Trail before the final Mid Lancs race at Blackburn's Witton Park on 1st March.

Simon, have you got the change of times for Hyndburn right? The way I read it the asterix applies to Sefton Park and the # to Hyndburn and there's a full stop between the two. :-)
