Results from the David Staff Memorial Fell Race are here. This is the first time I have run the race and it is a little cracker and for charity. I would highly recommended it for next year.

The David Staff Memorial Fell Race is on Sunday 30/11/2008. Based around Darwen Tower, it looks suitably testing whilst being for a worth while charity. £3 entry fee on the day. Kick off at 11:30 in Sunnyhurst Woods. More information here.

Man City are playing Arsenal at 15:00 in the City of Manchester Stadium (Eastlands). This 'minor event' is very close the 'main SE XC event', so parking and travel time to venue may be adversely affected.

Dear All, Kirkahm 10k 2009 As you are aware the life of a race organiser never gets easier. Having arranged the Kirkham 10k to avoid clashes with local races including Lancaster half, Hilton 10k and the Fleetwood festival I now find that the Fleetwood Festival has been moved to the same weekend as our Race. It has been decided by our committee to move our race to 23rd AUGUST 2009. Hopefully we will get no further surprises!!!!!! I do hope that you will feel able to support this local race which is run under rules and regs of UK athletics. Cheers Bob Fairclough.

Chorley Harriers have arranged a visit by Walsh Fell Shoe Manufacturers of Bolton at 18:45 on Thursday 25th September in the Chorley Cricket Club where shoes will be offered for sale(senior & junior) for fell, XC and trail at up to 50% or more discount(slight seconds). They have invited any Chorley AC members to come along should they wish.
