Calling all athletes for the Inter-Club fell race on Thursday night(16/6)at 19:30(£4)for The Two Lads(5.3) from The Bridge Inn, Horwich. CAC are 3rd in the competition todate(2nd V50s & 1st V60s & V70s)so lets keep it going. >16years.

please note if going to bury for northern mens use post code BL9 9Bj this will take you to grosvenor street but will take you alongside the track track is on the right when you go past the track turn right up the hill entrance then on your right at the top of the hill before railway bridge

"Mission accomplished! I arrived in Edale 22hrs 50mins after leaving Gargrave, very tired but uninjured, having been carried along by the huge expressions of support. With so much sponsorship pledged I couldn't afford to fail. I will send a more detailed account, hopefully for publication on the club website, when I have recovered. Many thanks for your help."

2 members of our club are running from john o groats to lands end and john swift is doing 70 miles in 24 hours next week lets get behind them if you have not donated and want to give even if only a few pounds you can see me or simon snd we will see it gets to them i think the team will be through chorley in the night or early morning

Myself and Ian Walker set off tomorrow morning heading for John o'Groats ready for an early Wednesday morning start. A team of six of us are attempting to run 940 miles in six days in a non-stop relay. I will try and keep the message board updated on our progress, you can also follow us on our facebook page

Two Chorley AC members at soggy Leigh for the Northern Vets Championships. John Wright was in complete control of both the V50 100 and 200m to win both comfortably in 12.3 and 26.3 secs. I started with 2nd place in the V40 100m in 12.5 sec - a PB by 0.7 seconds :) and not great conditions, then 1st place in Long Jump (5.26m from 1 jump then injured) and finally 1st place in Triple with a single jump of 9.51m from a (slow) 5 stride approach as I couldn't run!

The Blacksticks Blue(10K) race near Preston was the battle ground for two Chorley AC athletes with Phil McCullagh coming 107th(54:05) and Tom Hilton 182nd(68:04).
