Through the Villages

32^nd Sweatshop ‘Through the Villages’ Road Race

In the last of the Chorley Athletic and Triathlon Club ‘Trail/Road GP Series so 17 Chorley runners take part in this ‘undulating’ road race around the beautiful local villages of Wheelton, Brinscall and Abbey Village.

A massive 304 runners took part in this event with the eventual winner coming in at a time of 47 Minutes 18 Seconds.

1^st back for Chorley (12^th) in a time of 53:00 was Dominic Raby with Robert Walsh hot on his heels in 53:19 (14^th), followed by Tim Johnstone 55:25 (25^th), Michael Hancock 55:51 (30^th), Martin Quinn 58:01 (47^th), Bill Becket 1:01:09 (81^st), Joe Allman (102^nd), Hassan Khattab 1:03:18 (106^th), Laura Murphy 1:05:08 (123^rd), Simon Townsend 1:05:15 (124^th), Carly Glover 1:05:26 (128^th), David Miller 1:07:36 (149^th), Adrian Pilkington 1:07:43 (150^th), Paul Wareing 1:08:30 (157^th), Stephen Baker 1:10:22 (170^th), Lara Dickinson 1:10:44 (173^rd) and Carl Prince 1:11:31 (183^rd).

This was a fantastically supported event by the all club runners and supporters alike.

A great end to ‘Road/Trail’ GP series and I hope we can get more runners down to these events next year.
