Rivington ‘Trail’ Half Marathon
This, the 11th event of own ‘Grand Prix’ Series saw 12 Chorley runners take part in this tough but scenic trail half marathon with various standards of trail paths, stairs, various degrees of mud. The ‘sun’ did threaten to materialise but unfortunately never did, either way it was ideal running conditions.
438 runners took part in this event with the eventual winner coming in at a time of 1:21:51.
1st back for Chorley (15th Place) in a time of 1:30:15 was Robert Walsh, closely followed by Tim Johnstone (20th) 1:33:04, Martin Quinn (34th) 1:37:30, Dave Kershaw (39th) 1:38:03, Jon Mattock (60th) 1:41:35, Bill Becket (118th) 1:48:29, Paul Wareing (121st) 1:48:53, Paul Jackson (132nd) 1:49:51, David Miller (157th) 1:53:07, Andy Lowe (201st) 1:57:59, Stephen Baker (315th) 2:14:35 and completing the Chorley line-up Phil McCullagh (333rd) 2:17:14.
