Event Results

The annual rain and windswept Great Hill Fell race was 'enjoyed' by the Chorley women, as Lynne Clough was the first woman back, and with team mates Laura Murphy and Jacqueline Redmayne took the ladies team prize too, with Christine Sweatman running well bring the team home.

Joe Greenwood from Lytham (he trains on sand dunes) was the first back, but 8secs in front of Chorley's Michael Hancock. John Horrocks and Mark Ellithorn finished 7th and 8th, to take the team prize ahead of Red Rose Runners and Horwich. Not far behind them was Keith Johnson, Phil Iddon, Martin Quinn, Warren Crook and Dave Kershaw. Next back were Michael Hendry, Richard Farron, David Miller, Andrew Lowe and Car Prince. Paul Jackson, running his second fell race of the day, was 71st, followed by super vets V75 John Swift, V65 Les Paul and V70 Mike Coppin.

A BIG thanks to all people that pulled together to make it happen. It was a safe and fun event, and you all had a cheery face despite the 'challenging' weather. These include (in no particular order), Mike, Linda, Annabelle, Louisa, Christina, Joe, Ellie, Karen, Jane, Lara, Ben, Daryl, Dave, Stephe, Steve W, Steve B, Tash, Jenny, Ken, Barry, John P, Mel, Maurice, Alan, Martin H, Chorley's Angels, Raynet, John Schofield, Brinscall Cricket Club, United Utilities, FRA and Tony Bolton.
