Results
A typical summers day of rain greeted the Chorley competitors at the second Mid Lancs Track and Field event in Preston.
Newcomers Phil Bloch and Ben Evans led the way by scoring a 4th in High Jump(1.55m), and 1st place in Discus(32.3m) respectively. Senior Andrew Ramsey took 2nd place in his 100m heat in 11.5, backed up by Rick Cordwell who took 3rd place in his heat with a time of 12.4. Rick also took 3rd in his 200m heat, supported by John Wright in 4th. Ryan Sciacca had a useful 800m, finishing 5th in a time of 2:03:55.
U15 girls led the Chorley female team, with sprinter Georgia Martin running times of 13.9 and 28.3 in the 100m and 200m respectively, and Holly Brooks throwing 5.84, 13.69 and 12.55 in Shot, Discus and Javelin.

Results
The first Mid Lancs Track and Field competition in Blackpool greeted Chorley athletes with a dry but windy day, which encouraged the sprinters. Senior men Bolu Olufon and Rick Cordwell started proceedings with 11th and 15th positions respectively. U13s Ben Hughes finished 4th in the 100m, Lincoln McFayden 6th and 7th places in the 100m and 200m, and Jack Wilson 13th in the 200. U15 girls Georgia Martin and Charlotte Walsh finished very well in their 100m races, claiming 13th and 7th overall on time. Georgia also finished 16th in the 200m. U13 Emily Hunter came 19th in 800m, but also completed well in 100m and Long Jump. Just ahead of Emily in the 800m was Alisha Ibotoye making her racing debut with a 13th place.
Brother to Emily, U13 Luke claimed 11th in the 800m. Jack Wilson and Scott Gouldthorpe ran 5th and 8th in the 1500m, and senior Rick Cordwell sprinted around 400m in 8th. The Sciacca brothers Adam and Ryan took 2nd and 3rd in the senior mens 1500m.
U13 Lincoln and senior Rick took Long Jump podiums of 3rd and 2nd, and Charlotte jumped to 8th position. Other jumpers included Scott, Jack, Luke, Emily, Harry and Ben. The only Chorley high jumper, Georgia achieved a very creditable 5th place.
U15 Holly Brooks had excellent Javelin and Shot Putt competitions with a 4th place in both. U17 Luke Holehouse threw 8.55m and 23.42m respectively in the Shot Putt and Discus, and Chris Ashworth claimed 9th in the Javelin. U13s Harry Barclay and Scott Gouldthorpe threw their Javelins into 5th and 8th place respectively.
