Northern XC Knowsley 2013

Four of Chorleys' senior vet men dug themselves out of the snow to join 600 runners in the annual Northern Cross Country Championship held in Knowsley Safari Park. 12km of non-stop, energy-sapping mud caused many to drop out, but not Chorley's Cheatah of the day Paul Wareing who finished in a good time of 1:01:37. Five minutes behind was Simon Townsend, followed by Barry Chester who has a great run. Still too quick for the lions, Phil McCullagh was last (but not least) in for Chorley.
