Each leg was run by a pair of runners in the clubs mixed team. The event was blessed with a beautiful sunny day for a change. First off were Nicola Raby and Sarah Parkinson, who got the team of to a flying start and Sarah running her first Lakeland Fell race did particularly well acconpanied by the ever reliable Nicola, finishing in 49min 01 sec. Taking over on the second leg were two of the strongest runners, Dominic Raby and Adam Chritchley, who stormed round their demanding section with their usual strengh and determination to hand over in 2hrs 8min 45secs. Then it was the turn of Hassan Khattab and Dawn Atkins who took the direct gully route up Red Screes before the long descent to near Brothers Water in an excellent time, to bring the running total to 3hrs 16min 02secs. Last off were Darren Fishwick and Lynn Clough, who cover more total fell mileage than most.
