Harrock Hill fell race (3)

A muggy evening in Parbold heralded the third of this year's Harrock Hill series, with another large Chorley contingent in hot pursuit of trays of fruit and vegetables.

The indomitable Darren Fishwick was first back for Chorley in an excellent 37:10 and 13th spot. Paul Wareing (26) led the chasing pack of Chorley athletes followed by Gary Platt (41), Martin Quinn (47) and Jonathon Burgess (56) with strong runs.

Next back was Mike Hendry (71) - in a rare foray into the top half of a field - closely followed by Paul Jackson (73) and the pair of Nicki Rushton (88) and Graham Schofield (89). Jen Boocock (111) got the better of Jonathan Betts (112), with Jane Bowles (118) and Emma Spence (122) chasing.

Philip McCullough (129) sliced nearly three minutes off his previous Harrock Hill time, followed home by Rachel Chaunce (131), Joanne Langrish (140) and Tom Hilton (144) completing the evening for Chorley.
