Two Lads fell race 2012

Back from his recent travels, Darren Fishwick led a large Chorley field at the annual Two Lads fell race (part of the Horwich festival of racing).

Darren powered home in 37:34 to take the first V40 spot, in a superb 11th place. The mighty trio of Martin Quinn (31), Garry Platt (38) and Andy Clough (42) also ran strongly behind, with the men's A team taking sixth place overall.

Nicki Rushton (75th and 7th lady) ran brilliantly to lead the third-placed ladies team with 47:03, followed by Joanne Heron (98), Jane Bowles (99) and Sarah Heys (113) all enjoying their first races for Chorley.

Michael (oops, wrong way!) Hendry (70), Graham Schofield (78) and Steve Thomas (105) all had decent runs to complete the Chorley contingent.
