Chorley athletes were out in force on Rivington Pike for the annual 3.5 mile fell race. First back for Chorley was V40 Jullian Goudge in 19:45 and an excellent 16th position. V45 Mark Ellithorn and V40 Darren Fishwick finished not far behind in 19th and 39th position. V45 Paul Wareing was again chased home by Jonathan Higson in 62nd and 66th place. Young Martin Kershaw beat his dad V55 Dave, split by Michael Hendry. Veteran Pike Race fanatic V60 Barry Chester came in 140th, with V65 Tom Hilton in 206th position. For the ladies. Jan Atkins and Christine Sweatman finished well in positions 184 and 193 respectively.
